6 Body Parts Every Kenyan Forgets To Clean

Cleaning your body is a day to day essential that you can never avoid.

Failure to clean it, you may end up contracting fungal bacteria, bad odour and other diseases. Some of you believe as long as you have washed or rinsed your body with water, you are good to go! But on the reals you are not, there are some body parts that you leave out.

Here are 6 body parts every Kenyan forgets to clean;

1.Belly button.

This is one area most of you forget and you cannot deny that.

The belly button is commonly known as ‘mkonyo’ or navel. It’s one of the most sensitive organs in the body because it can store lots of bacteria. Bacteria and sweating can result in bad odour and infections. If you have been wondering how to clean it, use a soft cloth with warm water and gently rub your navel. Don’t use creams not unless the doctor prescribes.

2. Behind the ears.

Another spot that is never touched!

Behind the ears, there is a skin layer which has a high accumulation of sebaceous glands. It is said to store sweat and release sebum. With that, it will lead to the growth of bacteria and smelly ears that will be a total turn off. Before you shower, clean the area with cotton so as to remove the dirt. Also if you wear earrings, you must often remove them and wash them too.

3. The back of the neck. 

The back of the neck is one part of the body that is moist most of the time. The moistness is caused by exercising, hair or the oils you use on your hair.

A lot of bacteria is collected if it is not cleaned well.

One must often clean the back part of the neck every day using any mild soap and a wet and warm cloth.

4. Fingernails. 

If there is a part of the body that carries lots of bacteria, it must be the nails.

Everywhere you go, your fingers carry a lot of germs and bacteria. The bacteria found in the nails may result in diseases like food poisoning, stomach upset, amoeba and the likes.

To clean them, simply soak your nails in lukewarm water and add Dettol or any antiseptic liquid. Later use a small soft brush to remove the dirt.

5. The Back.

There are some of you who are just lazy to reach their backs and it is very easy to clean.

To have a clean back, it’s best when you use a scrubber because it will remove all the dirt.

6. Tongue. 

To prevent bad breath it’s important to clean your tongue because it carries a lot of bacteria.

It was discovered that more than 50 per cent of stinky breath also know as halitosis is due to the residues of the tongue.
