Former Man United Striker Names The Best Player in The English Premier League

Former Manchester United striker Dimitar Berbatov believes Liverpool forward Sadio Mane has been the best player in the English Premier League this season as the Reds march towards their first title in 30 years.

The Senegalese forward has scored 13 goals for Liverpool across all competitions with the Jurgen Klopp coached side unbeaten in the English premier league so far this season.

Asked who has been the stand-out player in the league, the Bulgarian was full of praise for the 27-year old former Southampton man.

“Looking at the season so far, when it comes to players one that has stood out for me so far is Sadio Mane. Mane has been unbelievable, the progress he has made, his performances in games, goals, and assists, he has it all – everything is there for him and he is still just 27,” he said.

Berbatov went on to highlight Mane’s qualities that make him stand out above the rest.

“He’s got amazing speed, stamina and balance – he can still develop and it was a fantastic achievement to come fourth in the Ballon d’Or rankings, I’m sure he is pleased and you can see it on the pitch. Every time he has that space to burst through the deference with the ball he does it with ease, he’s having an unbelievable season,” he added.
