Barcelona Trailing Manchester United Youngster

Barcelona are reportedly keen on signing Manchester United prodigy Angel Gomes on the Bosman as his contract at Old Trafford is set to expire at the end of the season.

Gomes, a Manchester United academy product has reportedly turned down a new deal due to the its low financial value and United could get again lose another young talent as was the case in 2012 when Paul Pogba moved to Juventus.

The youngster is free to talk to other clubs in January and Barca, who have been monitoring him for the last one year, are ready to pounce with a better deal for the attacking midfielder.

United have managed to convince youngsters such as Mason Greenwood, Marcus Rashford, Brandon Williams, James Garner among others but faces a dilemma with the U17 world cup title winner.

Another youngster who could exit old Trafford on the Bosman is Tahith Chong who as reportedly turned down a new deal as well. Juventus are said to be monitoring the Dutch winger.

Meanwhile, the Red Devils are said to be closing in on a number of new players. RB Salzburg forward Erling Haaland tops the list. Borussia Dortmund’s Jadon Sancho, James Maddison of Leicester City, Spurs’ Christian Eriksen and Aston Villa captain Jack Grealish have been linked with Ole Gunnar Solskjaer’a side.
