Real Madrid midfielder Casemiro has earned praise over his performance in the El Classico on Wednesday night where the two arch-rivals played to a 0-0 draw.
Madrid dominated the rescheduled clash at the Camp Nou and despite creating many chances they failed to back of the net and in the end, the two sides settled for a point in what was a largely entertaining goal-less match.
Zinedine Zidaneβs men were the better side, created most chances. On the other hand, Barcelona led by their talisman Lionel Messi created little as they lost the midfield battle to Madrid. Casemiro, Toni Kroos, and Federico Valverde gave the lead leaders little room to create any chances.
Casemiro, in particular, was impressive in the middle of the park breaking down a number of Barca attacks and in the end was named of the match for his dominance in the middle of the park.
Fans on social media too praised the Brazilian who has slowly become a key member of Zidaneβs team over the last few years.
