Kabogo’s Wife Trolls Waititu Minutes After His Impeachment

Former Kiambu Governor William Kabogo’s wife Philomena Kabogo has taken to social media to troll governor Ferdinand Waititu just minutes after his impeachment.

Kiambu Governor Ferdinand Waititu impeached

Taking to her official facebook account on Thursday afternoon, Mrs Kabogo sarcastically talked of a coincidence in Kiambu and the United States of America.

“What a coincidence in Kiambu and America respectively,” she posted.

The Democratic-led House of Representatives voted largely along party lines to impeach  US President Donald Trump for obstruction of Congress and abuse of power over his dealings with Ukraine.

The landmark votes on Wednesday set up a likely January trial in the Republican-controlled Senate, where Trump is expected to be acquitted.

The Kiambu County Assembly also voted to impeach Governor Ferdinand Waititu over alleged gross misconduct and abuse of office.

This is after 63 MCAs voted in support of the motion tabled by Ndenderu MCA Solomon Kinuthia who, among other issues, accused the embattled county boss of gross misconduct and abuse of office.

Only one MCA voted against the motion while 28 were absent, thus, the motion met the required two-thirds majority threshold.

At least two-thirds of the Assembly must support the impeachment motion for it to go to the Senate.

Senate Majority leader Kipchumba Murkomen has called on senators to cancel their Christmas and new year travel plans, citing that duty calls.

He urged those who had already traveled outside the country to take next flight back home, in what looks like a move to discuss the fate of Kiambu.

Waititu’s Deputy James Nyoro survived being impeached on the grounds of gross violation of the Constitution and the County Government Act after Witeithie MCA Macharia Taki, who was pushing it failed to attend the session.
