Manchester United are set to sign Norwegian striker, Erling Braut Haaland in January and loan him back to RB Salzburg for the remainder of 2019/20 season.
The Red Devils have been trailing that youngster for the last couple of months after his excellent performance so far this season. The forward has scored 28 goals in 22 appearances for the Austrian team.
His good performance has drawn the attention of several clubs including Manchester United, Borussia Dortmund, Juventus, RB Leipzig, Atletico Madrid among other clubs and already his parent club has made peace with the fact that they will lose their best player soon.
United have been in a pole position for his signature and reports in the UK now indicate that the Red Devils have managed to convince the striker to join the club in a deal that will cost an estimated 76 million pounds. The deal will be completed once the winter transfer window opens and the player will be loaned back to Salzburg for the remainder of the season.
Solskjaer has been looking for Romelu Lukaku and Alexis Sanchez’s replacements. The duo quit the club last summer for Inter Milan and the club failed to replace them leading to the struggles currently being witnessed in the league.
