Elgeyo Marakwet Senator Kipchumba Murkomen was lauded after a move that showed a change of tune among politicians.
Murkomen unexpectedly paid a visit to two ODM party members.
The Majority Leader of the Senate put aside all political differences and attended a function held by Homa Bay Senator Moses Kajwang and Ruaraka MP Tom Kajwang.
The Jubilee party member through a tweet revealed he joined the two for the fundraising event for their late mother.
“This evening I joined the family of my friends and colleagues Sen.Moses Kajwang and Hon.TJ Kajwang in a fundraiser to support their late Mum’s medical and funeral expenses. We continue to pray for God’s grace and comfort for the family,” read the tweet.

Murkomen’s decision comes in the wake of the BBI report debate that has pitted ODM and Jubilee parties against each other.
The senator and his Tangatanga counterparts have faced criticism not only from the opposition but also from President Uhuru Kenyatta.
The politician was made a laughing stock by the Raila Odinga led party during the launch of the project.
Suna East MP Junet Mohamed who was the Master of Ceremony at the launch of the report took a swing at the leader.
Junet joked that Murkomen should desist from discussing of the wrangles within the jubilee party.
The Senator was later heckled while delivering his speech pointing out that the ‘Chungwa’ party MP was biased.
