Shiny Suits, Tiny Sunglasses and Other Fashion Trends We Need To Quit In 2019

If there is a year fashion has gone overboard it’s in 2019!

The fashion trends that have been dominating in 2019 include tiny sunglasses (also referred to as matrix glasses), biker shorts, animal prints, bucket hats, big sneakers, transparent bags, puffy sleeves, shrunken/tiny bags, satin outfits, rompers, denim on denim, tracksuit pants,  wrap dresses, see-through tops/trousers ( it’s referred to as sheer) and the list is endless.

Most of these fashion trends were worn back in the ’80s and ’90s. This is when our parents used to slay in checked mini skirts, big afro, block/chunky heels and high waist flared pants. These trends have made a huge comeback this in 2019 and that should communicate coming 2020, these old skool trends will come in handy.

Kenya has not been left out in these trends and we love that we are keeping up.

Here are trends Kenyans need to quit for good:

 

1.Shiny Suits.

2. Tiny Sunglasses. They have been embraced and they may dominate in 2020 again if we do not drop them.

3. Tiny handbags. Some can barely fit a phone.

5. Big ugly sneakers. They have been referred to as ugly sneakers and for sure they should not proceed to 2020.

6. Poorly shaped eyebrows. To the ladies that are still struggling to draw their eyebrows, just stop trying hard. You can simply rock your natural brows or go to the Youtube channel.

7. Biker shorts. They are worn in the gym but since fashion is all about breaking rules. It became a huge trend this year!

8. Fur. This is one trend that needs to be gotten rid of. Uncountable campaigns have been created to stop this trend but they need to work hard more to scrap this trend.

9. Neon or any bright colours. In as much as we are supposed to mix colours, it’s the high time the neon-bright colour trend comes to a halt. It’s been overdone!
