A section of Kenyans is speculating that King Kaka’s new song, ‘Wajinga ni nyinyi‘  could be a sign that he is joining Kenyan politics.

In the song, he was talking about how Kenyans elect the wrong leaders, how they think about taking care of their needs first instead of catering to the citizens’ needs.

He sang the song in a poetic manner which made many Kenyans relate to the problems we are facing as a country. The song has elicited mixed reactions and the ‘Dundain‘ hitmaker is currently requesting for protection since he has been threatened.

The reason why some think that King Kaka may be joining politics is that there are other musicians who have also released songs that had a political message before joining politics.

They include Jaguar, he released Kigeugeu which was a major hit in 2011. The song was dedicated to politicians that go against their word. Jaguar later showed his political interests and vied for the Starehe MP seat which he succeeded. The ‘Kigeugeu’ song was later used to taunt him for his xenophobic remarks he made against foreign traders.

My recent sentiments over the invading of our market by foreigners have been greatly recent sentiments over the invading of our market by foreigners have been greatly misinterpreted. I mean peace for the country and businesses should go on uninterrupted and all foreigners are welcome to our country,” he stated.

Fans on his social media platforms referred to him as the ‘kigeugeu’.
