Good morning,
Machakos Governor Alfred Mutua has claimed that his life is in danger because Deputy President William Ruto squeezed his hand tightly and talked to him in an angry tone during a meeting at State House.
The intensity in Ruto’s eyes also petrified the governor such that he ran to record a statement at Kilimani Police Station.
Mutua now wants the Inspector General of Police to beef up his security and investigate the matter.
The Maendeleo Chap Chap Party leader addressed a press conference inside the police station, where he told Kenyans why he fears for his life. We just hope CCTV cameras at State House can be used in the investigations.
We want to see how the governor reacted when his hand was squeezed. Did he shriek like Mike Sonko during his arrest in Voi?
Moses Kuria once said that devolution is the worst curse that Kenyans brought on themselves. Instead of delivering their election pledges, a governor wants his security beefed so that no one can squeeze his hand.
In Kirinyaga, Anne Waiguru has threatened to sue rapper King Kaka if he doesn’t delete his viral song Wajinga Nyinyi from YouTube in 48 hours. We think she should fire her advisors before taking on King Kaka.

Mt Kenya Wants Powerful Prime Minister
A section of leaders from President Uhuru Kenyatta’s Mt Kenya backyard are now rooting for a parliamentary system of government with a powerful Prime Minister.
The over 30 leaders comprising mainly former legislators said the system would be the solution to perennial violence witnessed every election cycle.
Do you think the police should take Machakos Governor Alfred Mutua seriously after saying that his life is in danger?
