They’ve launched a state-of-the-art pitch which will serve football lovers and players (both professional and amateur) across the city.

Unveiled early this week by the club chairman Naushad Merali, the new turf becomes fourth in a mega facility which houses an international cricket pitch, a world-class volleyball court, and a standard indoor arena.

Teams wishing to use the astroturf for training or competitions will only have to part with an affordable fee of between Sh2,000 and Sh6, 000 per hour. And it’s available for use both during the day and at night.

Speaking during the launch, the club secretary, Mukhtar Assaria, explained how the new pitch is trying to solve the glaring problem of inadequate football pitches in the country.

“There’s a shortage of football pitches in the country hence the need to construct this pitch to meet the growing demand by athletes who have the need to kick a ball for competitive and recreational purposes,” Mukhtar said.

It also takes pride in having other special amenities that include a restaurant, a walking track, a fully equipped gym and kids play area.
