Barcelona Youngster Praised After Breaking UCL Record

Barcelona forward Ansu Fati has earned plaudits from across the world after becoming the youngest ever UEFA Champions League scorer with his goal against Inter Milan on Tuesday night.

The 17-year old came off the bench in the 85th minute and a minute later he scored the winning goal for the Catalans after he was set up by fellow substitute Luis Suarez.  At 17 years and 40 days, he became the youngest ever UEFA Champions League scorer.

The goal saw Barca knock Inter out of the UEFA Champions League after Borussia Dortmund defeated Slavia Praha in the other Group F match played at the Signal-Iduna Park.

The striker holds three other records. He is Barca’s youngest ever goal-scorer, the youngest player to register a goal and an assist in a Laliga match and Barca’s youngest ever player to play in the UEFA Champions League.

His performances earned him plaudits from fans across the world.
