Fire Engine Missing Despite being Launched by Governor

Molo residents have raised concerns over the missing fire engine launched in September this year by Governor Lee Kinyanjui in a bid to help curb the sporadic fires experienced in the area.

The furious residents expressed their dissatisfaction in the way the county government has handled the matter.

Their sentiments come in a wake of another inferno that rendered over 20 families homeless after fire gutted down their homes.

According to an area residents, efforts to contain the fire were futile as it was spreading very fast and no fire engine arrived at the scene to help.

The area Nyumba Kumi chairman, Joshua Ndegwa, confirmed the incident saying no property was rescued and no casualty reported.

The locals noted that since the fire engine was launched in September,  it has not assisted in any fire occurrences in the area.

They further insisted on the need to get it back saying it will go a long way in reducing damage caused by such fires.

The cause of the fire is yet to be established.
