Ruto Should not Make Decisions For Us- Duale Warns

The release of the BBI report sparked new levels of difference in opinions over the way forward for the country.

Majority Leader of Parliament Aden Duale breathed fire at Deputy William Ruto in regards to the initiative.

The Garissa MP specified that the likes of Ruto, should not influence the decision of people from the North-Eastern region.

He further added that every leader should concentrate on their regions if making a verdict for the people.

Aside from DP Ruto, the vocal Jubilee party member extended the warning to the likes of ODM leader Raila Odinga, COTU Secretary General Francis Atwoli, Wiper Party leader Kalonzo Musyoka and ANC leader Musalia Mudavadi.

“When the chips are down politically, every community will make a decision with its leadership.

“We will not allow the likes of Francis Atwoli, Kalonzo Musyoka, Raila Odinga, William Ruto to make a decision for us on the way forward,” stated Duale.

He further noted that, “Go to Western Kenya, talk to your people. Head to Central and talk to your people. When it comes to the pastoral community in Northeastern, we have leaders and we will decide what is best for our people.”

Kamket tears into Ruto

Tiaty MP William Kamket during a different function dressed down Ruto in regards to the BBI.

According to Kamket, the deputy president and his allies are set for an embarrassing show in the event the document doesn’t go to parliament.

He added that the likes of the Majority Leader of Senate Kipchumba Murkomen would be swept off their feet with shame when they lose.

The Rift valley region representative reiterated that the project should go through a referendum and not the National Assembly way.

On the contrary, DP Ruto last Friday, expressed his support for the referendum process if suggested.

The second in command uttered that the only thing that won’t be tolerated will be violence.

“If a section of the report orders a referendum, we are ready as Kenyans for it. What we will not tolerate is disputes, opposition and intimidations,” stated Ruto.
