Players To Watch in The Mathare United Kakamega Homeboyz Clash

Luke Namamda

The forward has three goals this campaign which is only second to Allan Wanga for Homeboyz.

Quick with the ball and with a deadly shot on him, Namanda will ask serious questions to a Mathare United backline that has not kept a clean sheet in their last five matches.

Daniel Otieno

The Mathare striker has been playing very confidently in recent weeks and that was shown by his expertly taken goal in the 4-1 win over Chemelil Sugar last time out.

Otieno can also play on both flanks and mostly drifts to the right when he can cut in with his left foot. Homeboyz will have to be wary of him.

Kevin Kimani

The attacking midfielder is the league’s highest goals provider with five assists so far this campaign. Kimani can also score goals and has three to his name so far.

The former Tusker United forward will be eager to punish a Homeboyz team that has conceded five goals in their last three matches.

Allan Wanga

Last season’s golden boot winner, a former Kenyan international who has also featured for AFC leopards and Tusker FC with whom he won the title three years ago.

Allan Wanga has everything you want in a striker, heading ability, strong and with a fierce shot on him. Wanga can also take set pieces to devastating effects for the opposition.
