Wazito Coach Heaps Praise on His Players After Sharks Draw

Wazito FC head coach Frank Ouna has hailed his charges for the fighting spirit they showed in their 0-0 draw against Kariobangi Sharks on Monday afternoon at Kenyatta Stadium in Machakos.

The KPL moneybags managed to salvage a point against Sharks despite playing the better part of the second half a man down following Karim Nizigiyimana’s dismissal ten minutes into the second stanza.

Ouna’s charges fought and even had chances to seal the win which they wasted and the coach was full of praise for his players at full time.

“The best part of this game was our reaction after we went one man down. I saw a lot of positive energy from the boys, everybody up, everyone was ready for the fight, today you could see the motivation was good and even when we were a man down they were still going for the three points,” he stated.

He further added that he was satisfied with the point earned from the match saying his side played well to salvage a draw from the match

“I can say I am happy with the draw not only because we got a point but also because of how we played the match so I am okay with that, we can build on that going forward,” he added.

The former KCB coach returned to Wazito a week ago after Melis Medo was shown the door and he says he has already noted an improvement in the team’s mental strength. He, however, added that there is still more work to be done.

“We have already built the foundation bit of it, on the mental part I can say we are now 100%. The rest is now to work on tactics, the technics and physical aspects of the game,” he concluded.
