Mwatate Member of Parliament(MP) Andrew Mwadime was on Tuesday morning involved in a road accident.
According to the Orange Democratic Movement(ODM) Party, the MP is currently admitted at Nairobi hospital.
“Our prayers are with Hon. Andrew Mwadime, MP Mwatate Constituency who was involved in a road accident today morning.
“He is currently admitted at Nairobi hospital. Please let’s all pray for him,” tweeted the ODM party.
When contacted by this writer on further details, ODM Director of Communication Philip Etale said they had no additional information of the incident apart from what they had posted.
Efforts by this writer to reach the MP on phone were futile since he was out of service.
The MP’s accident comes barely a week after the National Transport and Safety Authority(NTSA) released a report that indicated more Kenyans, by November 2019, had died than in 2018.
According to the survey results, the country lost 3, 112 by 18th November compared to 2,727 who died in 2018.
Pedestrians were the most vulnerable with 1,201 having died.
