He further ridiculed the leader’s behaviour pointing out that it was beneath him to resort to such tactics.

The Jubilee party MP further made five demands to the governor that he needs to deliver on for the people of Langata.

The demands are as follows:

  • Water in the homes of the residents.
  • Good roads in the estates within the area.
  • Provision of markets in all the five wards.
  • The sewage system to be fixed and solid waste to picked on time.
  • Hospitals to have proper equipment and medicine.

Earlier, other leaders echoed the Langata lawmaker’s sentiments that they had enough of Sonko’s rule in the city.

Nairobi Senator Johnson Sakaja and Dagoretti North MP Simba Arati held a press conference and condemned Sonko citing that he had failed the city.

The confident Sakaja expressed that Governor Sonko failed to wade off the cartels that have infiltrated his county government.

In addition, the senator highlighted that the city boss neglected to follow up on how funds allocated to the running of  Nairobi was utilized.

He noted that despite the efforts by the capital city’s leaders on negotiating for allocation of finances with Parliament, Sonko still slept on the job and did not help improve the condition of Nairobi.

The fiery Arati stated that all the leader going forward will be involved in the ‘city under the sun’ budget distribution to ensure the decline of poor usage of funds.

Adding more firewood to the fire, the Dagoretti representative asserted that all the county leaders sacked by the flamboyant governor be given back the jobs.

The ODM party leader assured the people of Nairobi that all areas that have been affected by the controversial Sonko’s negative impact will be rectified.
