Chadians Handed Kenya vs Togo Clash

Match officials who will take charge of the 2021 African Cup of Nation qualification match between Kenya and Togo scheduled for Monday, November 18 have been named.

Kenya will be back in action on Monday night as they look for a win after an impressive one-all draw against Egypt on Thursday night. A win will put them in a good position to qualify for the biannual tournament that will be staged in Cameroon.

Kenya managed to pick a point in Alexandria after seeing off pressure from the hosts in a closely fought encounter to pick a point. Mohammed Kahraba had given the hosts a first-half lead after capitalizing on a woeful back-pass from Erick Ouma but Michael Olunga ensured Stars picked a point Alexandria.

And now ahead of Monday showdown at the Moi International Sports Center Kasarani, match officials for the match have been named. Alhadi Allaou Mahamat from Chad will be the center referee while Issa Yaya and Moussa Hafiz also from Chad will serve as first and second assistant referees respectively. There compatriot, Pousri Armi Alfred will be the fourth official in the game.

Zambia’s Joseph Nkola will be the Match Commissioner while Jean-Claude Labrosse from Seychelles will assess the match officials of the day.

Meanwhile, the Kenya team jetted back from Egypt on Saturday afternoon. The team will camp at Safari Park in readiness for the match. Ayub Timbe and Patrick Matasi remain doubtful for the duel after picking injuries that forced them off in the first half against Egypt.
