The Stats Ahead Of Harambee Stars V Egypt

The Kenyan National team Harambee Stars will on Thursday, 14 November take to the field for their first Africa Cup Of Nations qualifier match against Egypt in Cairo.

Francis Kimanzis men go into the match on the back of five-match winless streak. The confidence in the team is seemingly low at the moment. Stars have only kept one clean sheet in their last five matches which was in a barren draw with Tanzania in the Africa Nations Championship qualifiers back in June.

Offensively, things are not looking good either with Harambee Stars only finding the net twice in five matches. The Pharaohs have never lost to Kenya and have scored 12 goals in their last four matches with Kenya scoring just once.

Egypt, on the other hand, is in fine form and has only lost one match in their last five, winning all the other four. Interestingly, that loss against South Africa was the last time that the Pharaohs conceded a goal, the only one they have conceded in 7 matches!

The hosts have also scored six goals in the same period.

Egypt will be without their most influential player in Mohamed Salah. The Liverpool winger was ruled out of the match with an ankle injury sustained in their win against Manchester City at Anfield last Sunday.

Harambee Stars meanwhile will be without John Aviire who pulled out of the squad due to personal reasons. The match kicks off at 7 PM East African time.
