Arsenal Midfielder Keen on Leaving Club

Arsenal midfielder Lucas Torreira is reportedly unsettled at the North London club and has told his agent to negotiate with prospective suitors ahead of January transfer window.

The Uruguay international has fallen down the pecking order at the Emirates with coach Unai Emery sparingly utilizing him. The player is also said to be frustrated by the coach’s decision to play him in a more advanced role and not his preferred defensive midfield position.

There is interest from AC Milan for the diminutive midfielder and according to reports in Uruguay the player is interested in a move back to Italy and would fancy joining the Italian giants should they meet his valuation in January. Milan are struggling and desperately need reinforcements during the mid-season transfer window.

The midfielder joined Arsenal in July 2017 from Sampdoria after impressing with the Uruguay national team during the 2018 World Cup that was staged in Russia. He snubbed teams like Atletico Madrid and Bayer Leverkusen to join the Gunners.

He started his Gunners career on a high and was a key player for coach Emery last season but his second season in London has proved difficult as he has fallen out of favor.
