Ruto: Raila is a Mastermind of Killing Coalitions

The war of words between Deputy President William Ruto and his fierce competitor, ODM party leader Raila Odinga seems to have taken a new angle with Ruto now accusing Raila of mastering tactics of invading and killing coalitions.

Ruto, who has perfected the art of using his Twitter page to criticise all those who don’t dance to his tune, described Raila Odinga as a political conman, who had advanced his deceit tricks from Kanu, Cord, all through to Nasa and currently to Jubilee party.

While assuring Raila that his conmanship and tricks under the Handshake will not succeed in breaking Jubilee party, Ruto insisted that the party, despite the current cracks being witnessed, was still firm and strong.

At the same time, the self-proclaimed hustler challenged Raila to publicly renounce violence and always get flexible to accept poll results.

“Tinga/his party’s trail of political conmanship/deceit from Kanu thro’ Cord to Nasa&now heading to Jubilee; and a litany of violence from 82’coup to kibra cannot be hidden behind BBI. As a Minimum must 1) PUBLICLY renounce violence as a political tool.2)UNDERTAKE to accept defeat,” tweeted Ruto on Wednesday.

Ruto’s current bitter reactions, according to the ODM party, are as a result of a humiliating defeat his candidate Macdonald Mariga faced in Kibra.

“Tangatanga leaders should know that sideshows won’t turn back the clock. They should Accept and Move On” posted ODM on Wednesday.

The orange party also warned Ruto’s Tanga-tanga faction against associating government officials with their failures saying the two officials were not voters in Kibra neither were they stakeholders in Imran Okoth’s win.

“Tangatanga should stop juvenile/infantile tirades over the just concluded Kibra by-election. Dragging the names of CS & his PS into their agony of losing the by-election does and cannot wash. ODM won clean. Their bad manners were thwarted by Kibrans,” added another tweet from ODM.

“We want the whining Tangatanga functionaries to know that while is a voter in Kibra, the two-state officers aren’t and would have no interest in the constituency outside their official mandate. Moreover, these are servants of Jubilee govt that sponsored Mr Mariga,” continued the tweet.

Elgeyo Marakwet Senator Kipchumba Murkomen also took swipes at ODM party and the BBI saying the Initiative was turning out to be an agent of division rather than unity as recently witnessed in Kibra by-election acts of violence.

“Going by the divisive press conferences going on in Parliament and the obvious acts of violence that were witnessed in Kibra you would be forgiven if you think that BBI stands for Breaking bridges initiative. What a paradox. BBI is turning out to be agent of division. An oxymoron,” tweeted Murkome.
