Manchester United Interested in England Winger

Manchester United are reportedly interested in re-signing winger Wilfried Zaha during the January transfer window according to reports in the UK.

Coach Ole Gunnar Solskjaer is keen on beefing his squad after a difficult start to 2019/20 season and attack is said to be an area of concern for the Red Devils following Romelu Lukaku and Alexis Sanchez’ departures in the Summer.

Zaha joined Manchester United from Palace in 2013 after impressing at Selhurst Park. He went on to make just four senior appearances for the Red Devils before returning 18 months later. He has been in good form for the London club this campaign.

United are in dire need of creativity and speed up front and a host of attackers have been linked with the team.  Borussia Dortmund’s Jadon Sancho, Leicester City’s James Maddison, and Inter Milan’s Lautaro Martinez are some of the forwards linked with moves to Old Trafford.

The Crystal Palace man has become the latest player to be linked with the club.  The winger has been in fine run for the club and was largely expected to join Arsenal in the summer only for Palace to refuse to sell him. The Gunners were forced to sign Nicolas Pepe from Lille but the Ivory Coast man has failed to replicate the form that saw him become one of the most sought-after forwards in Europe.

Zaha will attract a fee in the region of £70million which United are said to be willing to meet to bring him back to Old Trafford.
