You Will Be Used and Dumped After BBI, Raila Warned

Former Raila’s close ally and Nasa strategist David Ndii has warned the ODM boss against trusting President Uhuru Kenyatta and his Jubilee party.

According to Ndii, the president was only interested in using the handshake to tame Raila and thereafter dump him after achieving his political goals.

He warned his fellow Nasa compatriots who are keeping hopes that the handshake will liberate them, adding that the same had outlived its usefulness and has been overtaken by events.

“I worry for my compatriots clinging to BBI like dear life when they wake up to the reality that has not only outlived its usefulness, its been overtaken by events. Uhuru has nothing to gain from fighting Raila’s political battles. Use, dump, thats the name of the game,” tweeted Ndii.

Lately, the economist has been on records slamming Raila over what he terms as a disappointment to his supporters by allowing himself to be assimilated into the Jubilee system.

Just like exiled firebrand lawyer Miguna Miguna who presided over the Opposition leader’s presidential mock swearing-in ceremony in January 2018, Ndii is yet to embrace the handshake deal between Uhuru and Raila.

He has in countless times equated the newly-found bromance as a unity aimed at perpetuating dynasty rule beyond the post Uhuru era through the Building Bridges Initiative referendum.

“I am not a proponent of BBI. I am totally against using the constitution to advance political careers be that of Ekuru, Raila or anyone else,” Ndii recently reacted.

Not long ago, the economist likened the politician to a “staggering drunkard” who expects his supporters will blindly follow him despite clearly being out of his mind.

“Raila abandoned his troops but Sifuna (ODM party secretary-general) and company have no choice but to keep complimenting the emperor on his new clothes. Raila is not providing leadership, what we see is a follower clinging on a drunkard staggering from pillar to post, expecting the troops to follow blindly,”Ndii claimed.

The pressure is already mounting on Uhuru and Raila to unveil the report, which was declared ready 16 days ago. Even before its official release, the report has already triggered a political circus, with politicians taking sides for or against the report.
