For the first time ever, Ambrose Rachier, the tough Gor Mahia chairman was seen getting loose in public.
It was after K’Ogalo confirmed their supremacy in Mashemeji derby by walloping AFC Leopards 4-1 on November 10, at Moi International Sports Centre, Kasarani.
Ivorian striker Gislain Yikpe grabbed a brace while Clifton Miheso and Lawrence Juma scored one goal apiece to humiliate AFC Leopards in a one-sided derby and in front of hundreds of fans.
Burundian midfielder Tresor Ndikumana pulled one goal back for the hapless Leopards in a contest that K’Ogalo dominated from the onset.
But the major highlight of the game was Ambrose Rachier’s ‘heroics’. A renowned lawyer, a no-nonsense individual and a long-serving K’Ogalo chief, was on cloud nine after the victory.
In a rare situation, the Kenyan Premier League (KPL) chairman gyrated to a famous Luo music showing off unbelievable moves that left everyone literary amazed. He’s never seen dancing anywhere ever.
It was the 88th league Mashemeji derby and Steven Polack’s first win against the Andre Casa Mbungo-coached outfit. A win that takes Gor Mahia to the summit of the Kenyan Premier League table with 18 points from seven matches.
AFC Leopards have so far dropped to the seventh spot.
