Two police officers on patrol were, on Friday, shot down in Dandora, Nairobi, by unknown assailants at around 4 a.m.
Police Constable Joel Chesire was shot in the head while his counterpart Albert Abeere was shot in the chest and neck.
Confirming the incident, Kayole OCPD Wilson Kosgey said investigations have been launched to trace the culprits.
Kosgey also confirmed that the officers’ AK47 rifles were stolen after the incident.
Police have confirmed that 5 cartridges have been recovered from the scene.
