Embakasi East MP Babu Owino has sworn that the ODM Party will reclaim the Langata parliamentary in the 2022 general elections.
Babu stated that whereas Kibra Constituency is their bedroom, Langata is their sitting room and they will not entertain outsiders there too.
Both Kibra and Langata Constituencies have been termed as the Party’s strongholds since their MPs have been ODM candidates.
Raila had been Lang’ata MP — previously comprising Lang’ata and Kibera, for more than 20 years.
However, in the 2017 general elections, the Langata seat was taken away by rival Jubilee party.
Nixon Korir, who was considered an outsider, won the parliamentary seat of a constituency that had been dominated by the ODM for decades.
Korir has since then bee labeled the greatest enemy of Odinga and accused of being a project of Deputy President William Ruto.
As the tallying of Kibra by-election polls continue, the ODM is determined to retain dominance in their bedroom.
Their candidate Imran Okoth is racing closely with Jubilee’s Mc Donald Mariga.
The November 7 by-elections have been termed as a test of supremacy between Raila Odinga and William Ruto.
Ruto is the force behind Mc Donald Mariga’s candidacy with the Jubilee Party leader, President Uhuru Kenyatta disappearing in this picture.
