Fanatics or Craze? AFC Leopards Fans Hold Joint Birthday Bash in Machakos Hotel

A number of AFC Leopards fans took their support to another level when they staged a joint party on the sidelines of their weekend match.

Ingwe were hosting Ulinzi Stars at Kenyatta Stadium in Machakos on Saturday, and despite registering a low-key draw against the Soldiers, eight fans declared a ‘parte after parte’ session during and after the match.

Born in the month of October, the eight bought cakes and printed T-shirts to celebrate their birthdays in style.

Identified as Ela, Sandra, Peruz, Ednah,Tonny, Ezra, Dennis, Newton and Simiyu, the ardent fans were in high spirits while cheering their beloved club from the stands, then proceeded to a nearby Machakos hotel before returning to Nairobi.

Also in attendance to cut the cakes was AFC Leopards chairman Dan Shikanda, who was grateful for being invited to the bash.

“Thanks for the organizers of this Ingwe October Babies Birthday Celebration. It shows the unity of all our fans. I encourage more of this!” he said.

So far, AFC Leopards are third on the log with 15 points from eight matches. They tie points with second-placed Gor Mahia who are one point shy of lead holders Tusker.

However, Gor Mahia have three matches at hand having been held up in continental assignments. They crashed out of Caf Confederations Cup tournament on Sunday at the hands of Congolese side DC Motema Pembe.
