Bedroom Politics: MP’s Scathing Attack to Raila

Nominated MP David Ole Sankok has hit out at Orange Democratic Movement leader Raila Odinga for doing little to improve the lives of Kibra Constituency residents.

Sankok was responding to Raila who had scorned Deputy President William Ruto for promising to build roads for Kibra residents if they elect Jubilee’s candidate MacDonald Mariga in the byelections slated for November 7.

He said Raila should use his position as the Africa Union High Representative for Infrastructure Development to improve the lives of the people living in Kibera slums.

“He has forgotten that he is in charge of infrastructure development in Africa. Kibra is part of Africa, Why not use his influence and develop his constituency, sorry his bedroom”

Sankok accused Raila of using his previous positions he has held in the government to bring development to the residents of Kibra.

“He was the Prime Minister from 2007 to 2013. He was MP for 30 years. He was once a minister of transport, roads and infrastructure. He was once the Secretary-General of the ruling party KANU. He ate alone without sharing with his bedroom” he said.

At the same time, the Deputy President William Ruto on Saturday scorned the Former Prime Minister for seeking “outside” help to popularise the ODM party’s candidate bid for the Kibra race.

DP Ruto was reacting to the endorsement of Bernard Imran Okoth by Machakos Governor Alfred Mutua and his Kitui counterpart Charity Ngilu.

Ruto claimed that Raila, whom he christened the bedroom man, has panicked because the situation in Kibra was proving challenging to him.
