K24 Co-Anchors Share Emotional Messages After Being Sacked

Before the curtains fell for Mwanaisha Chdizuga and Ahmed Bhalo at Mediamax, the two were co-anchors at K24 TV for four good years.

The two had some sought of chemistry in their news presentation and also how they sometimes shared jokes during the bulletin.

Since the duo were axed from the tv station, it took nearly two days for Bhalo to break his silence over the exit.

On Friday, the anchor took to his social media accounts to bid farewell to his audience and even went ahead to promise his fans that they will meet somewhere else if God deems so.

“Hakuna kilichokua na mwanzo kikakosa mwisho. Tarehe 30/10/2019 ilikua siku yangu ya mwisho ya safari yangu kama mwanahabari wa @k24tv kufuatia mabadiliko yanayopania ‘kuboresha’ kampuni hiyo( There is nothing with a beginning that lacks an end. Today 30/10/2019 was my final day of journalism career at K24 TV following a restructuring that aims at ‘improving’ the company).

Allah akipenda tutaonana kwingine.Daima alipangalo Mungu hakuna wa kulipangua (Thanks all for making my career at K24 a success. God willing we will meet somewhere else. Forever what God plans no one can overturn),” posted Bhalo on his Instagram account.

In response, his co-anchor Mwanaisha heaped praise on the anchor and rekindled the good times they shared together.

She expressed optimism that his star will shine brighter given that he has the talent and experience.

Imekuwa 4 yrs ya furaha na uhusiano mzuri wa kazi kutoka kwako .Namshukuru Maulana kutukutanisha hewani na maneno mwengine ingawa mdogo wangu kwa umri umeonyesha umakini na ustadi mkubwa katika utangazaji wako…(It has been four years of happiness and good relationship from your end. I thank God for bringing us together on-air and despite being younger you have been steadfast and keen at your journalism career).

On 30th September, Mediamax issued a redundancy notice indicating that it was poised to lay off some workers in its bid to restructure itself in accordance with the prevailing economic conditions.

Several key TV and radio personalities were shown the door.

Frankilin Macharia – Senior Reporter

Anders Ihaji – political reporter

Mwanaisha Chidzuga – Swahili anchor

Juma Bhalo – Swahili Anchor

Boniface Mutakha – Managing Editor, English
