KPL: Abuya fires Zoo Kericho Warning as Wazito Quartet Out Of Sony Sugar Clash

Kariobangi Sharks will host Zoo Kericho at the Kenyatta Stadium in Machakos on Sunday in full knowledge that their record against the visitors is not good. The Kericho based side has been a thorn in the flesh of the Sharks. In the six meetings between the two, Zoo has won twice with the other four ending in draws.

William Muluhya’s side has just won once this season and sits 14th on the table with 7 points, just three points above the relegation zone. However, midfielder Duka Abuya, who has scored twice in the last three games is adamant that Sharks will put their disappointing run to an end this Sunday.

“We know that Zoo has always been a tough opponent to face. We are yet to win against them but that isn’t really going to deter us. We can beat them if we put in the hard work. The fact that we haven’t beaten them in the League gives us more reason to win against them because we want to end that bad run. We have the ability to do it and I believe we will do it,” Abuya said ahead of the match.Image

Meanwhile, Wazito FC will be without four players for Saturday’s visit of Sony Sugar in Machakos. Bernard Ochieng, Teddy Osok, Abouba Sibomana, and Derrick Onyango will all miss through injuries.

Teddy and Derrick missed last weekend’s action against Posta Rangers due to a knee and foot problem respectively and have not recovered in time for Sony Sugar duel.

Bernard Ochieng and Abouba Sibomana will also sit out of the clash. Ochieng picked a knee injury during last weekend’s match against Posta while Sibomana suffered the same fate during the midweek friendly match against Mt. Kenya United.

Wazito will be looking for their first win under new manager Melis Medo having being held to a barren draw by Posta Rangers in his first official match last weekend.
