I Have Seen That Before, Man United Defender Compares Rashford to Ronaldo

Manchester United defender Victor Lindelöf has compared his teammate Marcus Rashford to former United great Cristiano Ronaldo following his stunning second goal against Chelsea on Wednesday night in the Carabao Cup.

The England international twice found the back of the net in United’s 2-1 win over the Blues at Stamford Bridge. His first a penalty kick before sealing the win for the Red Devils with a stunning freekick from over 30-yards out.

It’s the 21-year old’s second goal that stunned the football world. With United piling pressure in search of a second goal moments after the hosts had equalized, midfielder Fred was fouled 30 yards outside the Chelsea penalty area winning Ole Gunnar Solskjaer’s side what looked like harmless freekick.
Rashford stepped forward and hit the ball straight above the Chelsea wall into the right-hand side of the Blues’ keeper Willy Caballero. The Argentine’s efforts to save the freekick bore no fruits as he the United academy graduate scored what proved to be the winning goal.

The hosts’ late pressure did not bear any fruits as the Red Devils stood their ground to pick a third straight win away from home and in the process eased pressure on their coach.
Fans all over the world took to social media to hail the striker who recently rediscovered his scoring touch. It was his fourth goal against Chelsea this season having scored another brace on matchday one.
 Lindelöf, in particular, has compared the forward to former United forward Ronaldo who scored a number of stunning freekicks during his time at Old Trafford.
