GSU Officer Confesses to Killing Woman & Her Elderly Mother

A GSU officer, Antony Musyoka has confessed that he is responsible for the murder of a mother and daughter that took place at Katani area in Athi River.

Musyoka was arrested on October 29 by detectives from the Special Crime and Prevention Unit at a Komarok Clinic where he was secretly seeking removal of a bullet lodged in his body.

The suspect was held at the Embakasi GSU Training Camp and would later lead the detectives to a hideout of their criminal activities in Machakos.

Another gang member linked to the Katani Killings was on October 30 gunned down by police officers in their intelligence-led operation.

Two AK 47 Riffles with 18 Live Rounds of ammunition were recovered by the DCI detectives.

The recovered arms are believed to have been stolen from two GSU officers that were on Guard duty at Wilson Airport on the night of July 27, 2019.

One of the officers on duty was killed during the robbery at Wilson Airport in July. 

The GSU officer and his gang members shot dead a 35-Year-old Purity Wanjiru, and her 60-year-old mother Ann Katita at their home in Kambi estate, Katani, Machakos county.

On October 26, the gunmen descended on Ann while she was opening the gate for her daughter shooting her to death.

The robbers then shot her daughter and her father who were waiting in their car.

Purity Wanjiru died on the spot and her father who sustained gunshot wounds was rushed to Shalom Community Hospital.

The 35-Year-Old Purity was a businesswoman whose Liquor trade was based in Mlolongo.
