How Arsenal Could Line up Against Liverpool on Wednesday

Arsenal could travel to face Liverpool at Anfield in the Carabao Cup on the back of two disappointing results in the League. The Gunners drew their last match 2-2 with Crystal Palace despite leading 2-0 after just ten minutes

Unai Emery is in desperate need of a win on Wednesday night and below, we look at how he could line up for this do or die clash.

Defense

Emi Martinez has been the cup goalkeeper and to be fi to him, he has done nothing wrong so far. Hector Bellerin continues to his recovery from injury and should start at right-back.

Sead Kolasinac did not start against Palace which means he will play at left-back with Rob Holding and Calum Chambers in central defense.

Midfield

Lucas Torreira has been a part-time player in the league and thus will start in his preferred defensive midfield role alongside Joe Willock in a double pivot. The young Englishman has had a tough time lately but this could be his chance to redeem himself.

Mesut Ozil has barely played this season. The German midfielder is Arsenals best player and Unai Emery will need to play him or risk facing the wrath of the fans. He should play in the attacking midfielder position.

Attack

Bukayo Saka has been impressive but did not start against Palace. He should start on the right win at Anfield. Gabriele Martinelli has scored in every start this season and will definitely start on the left-wing while star striker Alex Lacazette leads Arsenals hunt for goals.

Starting XI: Martinez, Bellerin, Kolasinac, Holding, Chambers, Torreira, Willock, Ozil, Saka, Martinelli, Lacazette.
