Odinga, whose brand of politics is filled with imagery and riddles was drumming support for ODM candidate in the Kibra by-election Bernard Okoth (Imran) when he dropped the bombshell.

Castigating Jubilee candidate McDonald Mariga’s manifesto documents as mere ‘garbage,’ Odinga claimed that Kibra already had an upgrade program encapsulated in the Vision 2030 program and that any other deviation from the blue-print was cosmetic.

The Riddle

While the crowd went wild as the ODM supremo narrated the riddle, very few people are actually capable of interpreting it or determining whoever it was directed towards.

ANC’s candidate for Kibra constituency Eliud Owalo has also been on the campaign trail running for the city under the banner of transformation and more bursary funds allocation to needy students.

Recently, DP Ruto, while campaigning for Mariga, alluded that Kibra was in a terrible state for not voting a Jubilee candidate in the past elections.

Ruto went ahead to urge the residents to vote in Mariga so that the Government could launch projects in the area.

The Kibra by-election is slated for November 7, with 19 contestants vying for the seat that fell vacant in July after then MP Ken Okoth succumbed to colorectal cancer at Nairobi Hospital.
