Arsenal manager Unai Emery’s goose could be cooking following his ‘dismal’ performance at Emirates.

He’s never impressed as expected by the club’s fans since he picked the job on permanent terms after Arsene Wenger’s exit.

From 10 matches so far, the Gunners have only collected 16 points and are placed at position five on the table.

Fans and Arsenal fraternity as a whole feel the club has the best players who should have placed the team higher on the log, probably somewhere near leaders Liverpool at worst. They’ve occasionally blamed Spanish manager for ‘awkward’ player selection which has seen players like Mesut Ozil and Lucas Toreirra sidelined.

On Sunday, the Gunners blew away a 2-0 lead to settle for 2-2 draw against Crystal Palace at Emirates stadium-a thing which left Arsenal fans breathing fire. The fans have openly called for his exit terming him a clue-less coach.

A few hours on, it has emerged that the club’s bosses including head of football Raul Sanllehi, Technical Director Eduardo César Daude Gaspar and Director Josh Kroenke have met Unai to discuss his poor show.

“Arsenal director Josh Kroenke met with Unai Emery after yesterday’s game. #AFC won’t make a knee-jerk decision but onus is now on Emery to deliver,” David Ornstein of The Athletic has revealed.

It will now be fascinating to see how Unai handles the pressure going forward.
