Manchester United are out to return to winning ways when they meet Norwich City on Sunday.

Midfielder Fred says he and his Manchester United team-mates are determined to build on the positive steps made in the last week with a mindset of bettering their position on the league table.

The Red Devils produced an improved display at home to Liverpool and were unlucky to be held to a draw after Adam Lallana’s late equalizer last Sunday.

Ole Gunnar Solskjaer’s men then travelled to Serbia for the Europa League clash with Partizan Belgrade and came away with a battling 1-0 win, which was a first away victory since March.

Speaking ahead of the clash with the Canaries, Fred says the improved performance against leaders Liverpool had raised confidence levels in the side and the midfielder hopes it will turn out to be an important turning point in the season.

“We feel great. It was a really good game for us [against Liverpool]. We’re unhappy with having conceded the goal but in general we were very happy with the performance and now we need to focus to consistently produce this type of performance and get back to winning ways [in the league],” he said.
