Two dead, Several trapped After KDF Bus Rams Into 14-Seater matatu

Two people have lost their lives after a KDF bussed rammed in a 14-seater Matatu.

Two people have reportedly died and several others still trapped in wreckages after Kenya Defence Forces bus rammed into a matatu in Dundori area in Bahati, Nakuru County on Friday evening.

The accident is reported to have happened around Lanet Barracks at around 6:50 Pm.

The KDF bus carrying 33 passengers is reported to have lost control before ramming into the matatu.

The 14-seater matatu belonged to Nyamakima Sacco.

It is reported that several people along the road also got injured as a result of the accident.

Nakuru County Police Commander Stephen Matu has reportedly confirmed the incident though he did indicate the number of people injured.

“However, I am yet to receive formal communication from the area OCPD in regard to the total number of victims injured in the crash,” he told K24 TV.

The two who perished have been taken to Nakuru level 5 Hospital morgue.
