That Was Fast! Wazito New Coach Already Rolling In Swanky Car

The new head coach for Kenyan Premier League side Wazito, Melis Medo seems to be luckier than his predecessor at the Moneybags’ palace.

Barely a day after being unveiled as the club’s manager, the American tactician showed up in a new Wazito-branded posh V8 which Opera News understands belongs to the club’s owner Ricardo Badoer.

This kind of privilege was not enjoyed by his predecessor Fred Ambani and the club’s former Technical Director Stanley Okumbi.

American Medo appointed new Wazito coach

The duo was fired for posting dismal performance in the league having only won once from six matches for a team whose focus is on the title.

During Medo’s appointment, Wazito Chief Executive Officer (CEO) Dennis Gicheru expressed much hope in him, in line with the club’s long-term objective.

“After careful consideration, we settled on Melis Medo. He is a quality coach and having coached Kenyan Premier League teams before he understands Kenyan football well and we have full confidence in him.

“We believe that he will do a good job with the team. He will be accorded all the necessary support to ensure that he succeeds here,” Gicheru said.

Since 2017 when the American arrived in Kenya, he has coached Sofapaka and Nakumatt FC-which later changed to Mount Kenya United.
