An expert, Gitile Naituli, who is a Leadership lecturer at Multimedia university, during an interview with KTN, indicated that the president was being let down by those close to him.

Naituli remarked that there are occasions that Uhuru doesn’t know the person being advocated for.

“Sometimes he doesn’t actually know people. So some people prepare list after interviews and hand it over to him.”

“I can imagine at times he asks them if they have ensured everything is okay, doe it agree with the law? Once they say yes, then he signs,” stated Naituli.

He added that safeguarding secrets known by certain people, was forcing the Jubilee party head to make the hard choice.

“There are people who carry government secrets that he (Uhuru) doesn’t want released to the public as it requires some level of supervision.

“These are some of the people who are getting this appointments but they are not supposed to be ubiquitous, meaning everywhere then they don’t make sense,” explained the leadership lecturer.

Analysis made revealed that son of the late Mzee Jomo Kenyatta, was making changes with the same familiar old faces.

It was pointed out that the people behind the recruitment exercises on behalf of Uhuru, should be competent in their work.

The serious looking lecturer expressed that with the right procedure, the positions can be filled with many young Kenyans.

One area that has been highlighted as a place Uhuru has concentrated on rewarding loyalty is foreign missions.

Former CSs and leaders who tenures expired, have been given the positions in a bid to keep them within the system.

Some of the leaders that have benefited from the gesture include, Former Health CS Cleophas Mailu is representing the country at the UN in Geneva, Phyllis Kandie, who served in the Tourism, Labour and East African Community ministries, is in Paris as the permanent representative of the nation to UNESCO.
