Also been there, spent 6 months wondering if my partner for the past 6 years was still in love with me, she wasn’t. She was my childhood sweetheart. We were planning on getting engaged, moving in together, even talked about having children. We still saw each other every day, but she was slowly creating distance between us.
One day I called her phone to arrange date night and my number was blocked, checked her social media and was blocked on them also. Even went to her house and her parents said she didn’t want to speak to me. It broke my heart, the same month I realized it was over I lost my older brother and my job. She was my everything and I had no one to help me the feelings of my brother’s death. I fell into a deep pit of depression and was suicidal.
Almost a year later and I’m finally beginning to be myself again. To be honest, if I didn’t see how my brother’s death destroyed my parents, I probably wouldn’t be here today. I just couldn’t put them through that again. I’m glad I am here though, there’s always something to live for, always a way to make yourself better and to climb from the depths of depression.
