13-Year-Old Bedridden After Precious Talent School Tragedy [VIDEO]

Alex Ngaji was lucky enough to survive the Precious Talents School Tragedy that left 7 pupils dead and 57 others injured.

The lucky Alex was rushed to Kenyatta National Hospital but has been bedridden since the day the accident occurred after suffering a spine injury.

He was discharged from Kenyatta National Hospital on Tuesday, October, 1 but his parents decided to seek further treatment at the National Spinal Injury Referral Hospital after his pains became unbearable at home.

Joe Njagi, the father of Alex, told Citizen TV that the visit to the facility saw their only son referred to Kijabe Hospital.

At Kijabe, nurses told Joe that his son will be okay only that he needed physiotherapy.

Although the Nairobi County Government has cleared his son’s hospital bills, Joe says that he is unable to meet the family’s daily expenses because he has to look after his sick.

Joe is a cook at one of the hotels in Nairobi and mother a saloonist.

Citizen TV reported that on the fateful day, Alex tried to flee from the crumbling school building but was unlucky.

He woke up in the hospital unable to move the lower part of his body.
