Easy Minced Meat Recipe for the Busy Nairobian

For the busy Nairobian, mincemeat is one of the easiest and most delicious dishes you can make.

You can enjoy minced meat in a chapati wrap, in a samosa with spaghetti and even with rice.

Here is an easy 45 mins Masala Mince recipe courtesy of thesun.co.uk that serves four:

Ingredients

  • 500g lamb mince
  • 1 onion, chopped
  • 2 garlic cloves, crushed
  • 2½ cm fresh ginger, peeled and chopped
  • 1 tin of chopped tomatoes
  • 2 green chillies, deseeded and finely chopped (optional)
  • 2 tsps garam masala
  • 2 handfuls freshly chopped coriander

Method:

  • Heat a large non-stick frying pan and cook the mince, onion, garlic, and ginger for five to seven minutes.
  • Reduce the heat, add the tomatoes, chillies, seasoning, garam masala, and half the coriander.
  • Simmer, uncovered, for 30 minutes, stirring occasionally.
  • Garnish with the remaining coriander and serve.
