How Arsenal Could Line Up Against Sheffield United on Monday

Arsenal will face off with Sheffield United on Monday in full knowledge that a win would take them third on the Premier League table behind leaders Liverpool and Manchester City.

Below, we look at how Unai Emery could line up.

Defense

Bernd Leno is the obvious pick in goal and with Hector Bellerin still stop fully math fit, Calum Chambers starts at the right-back position. Keiran Tierney is now ready to start having fuly recovered and slots in the left-back position.

The center Back pairing should include Rob Holding and David Luiz as Sokratis has been shockingly poor so far this season.

Midfield

Granit Xhaka is the captain and the first name on the team sheet. Matteo Guendouzi completes the double pivot and the manager has a decision to make on who should play the attacking midfielder position.

Dani Ceballos has been good while playing there but Mesut Ozil is back in the fold and should start as he is Arsenal’s most creative player.

Attack

Alexandre Lacazette has fully recovered from an ankle injury that kept him out for a month. It is not clear whether he is fully match fit but it would not surprise anyone should he start in the striking role.

Nicholas Pepe is yet to find his feet at Arsenal but will definitely start on the right-wing. Pierre Aubameyang completes Arsenals attacking trio from the left. The Gabonese forward is in red hot form and scores goals from any area of the pitch.

Starting XI: Leno, Chambers, Tierney, Holding, Luiz, Xhaka, Guendouzi, Ozil, Pepe, Lacazette, Aubameyang.
