Popular online comedian Brendah Jons popularly known as Mama Njeri or Mama Plezdent Kingston has recently revealed that she is a rape victim.
Speaking during an interview on Up Close with Betty Kyallo, the fast rising comedian disclosed that she was sexually abused when she was young.
Brenda further narrated how the disturbing ordeal took place, adding that all her rapists were well known to her.
“I have been a rape victim before. The first time it happened when I was five years and he would do it continually. That’s an uncle of mine,” she revealed.
“When I was 12, my aunt’s husband, that’s my mother’s brother-in-law, raped me. This time it was a bit violent because he stuffed socks into my mouth”.
She went on to narrate that when she was 18 a pastor raped her after bible study and gave her money to make sure she doesn’t get pregnant I don’t want you tarnishing my name.
“When people were leaving, he asked me to remain behind to talk about the Bible. Before I knew it, it was midnight and he was all over me. I didn’t even fight him,” she narrated.
“The following day he gave me Ksh 200 to buy emergency pills to prevent any looming pregnancy. He insisted that he did not want his name tarnished. I think I was in my first year on the campus”.
However, Brenda disclosed that she did not tell any of her family members because her assailants threatened to kill her and convinced her that no one would believe her side of the harrowing story.
“My family knew nothing about it. I opened up to them two years ago. Apart from them, no one else knew,” she added.
