Ruto Turns Against ‘His’ Company Over BBI Remarks

Deputy William Ruto during a past function

Deputy President William Ruto dramatically lashed out at his alleged company following remarks on the Building Bridges Initiative(BBI).

No one is spared from the wrath of Ruto after he publicly ridiculed the People’s Daily in regards to him and President Uhuru Kenyatta clashing over the project.

Through a tweet, the DP stated that the Media Max owned newspaper was propagating ethnicity and informing the citizens in the wrong manner.

The paper termed that the report that is set to be handed to Uhuru and ODM leader Raila Odinga, had ignited internal wars in Jubilee.

Ruto added that the government worked as a unity with the needs of people in mind and not that of an individual.

“Nonsense. The politics of personality cults that breed negative ethnicity & division as it poisons our nation are primitive and beneath us.

“We will agree as Jubilee established as a national movement which elevate our discourse to the realm of ideas and issues and not personality.” remarked the DP.

The sentiments by the politician come days after the Head of State reiterated that the initiative was aimed to ensure violence never erupts during any future elections during the launch of the second phase of the SGR project.

In 2018, it was reported that Ruto acquired the controlling stake at the Kijabe street based firm, which was previously in the hands of the Kenyatta family.

Sources proclaimed that the second in command at the party, took his stake from 10 percent to 50 percent and later raised it to a whooping 60 percent.

The development however left unanswered questions whether the stakes bought were the ones held by the Kenyatta kin or that of the Central investors.

Further reports claimed that the family was looking to hand over its domination to either Nation Media Group or Standard group but a deal never went through.
