There are countless articles online about how to get rid of bedbugs including fumigation and the use of hot water but if you don’t want your items to rot or your house smelling, then you have to get rid of them in the least cumbersome way.

The surest way to get rid of these small insects is by the use of Emerald Green, a very effective systemic insecticide with a high residual effect that is normally used to control insects that attack plants and also to get rid of termites.

Now that we have gotten rid of bedbugs, its time to address the other insect in the room, roaches.

These insects reportedly survived Hiroshima and Nagasaki bombs and can live for a week without their heads so it gives you a clue on how resilient they are.

Unlike their brown counterparts, cockroaches don’t bite so that is a plus. They are gross but at least they don’t bite but they multiply at an alarming rate, can go for months without food and two weeks without water.

The first course of action is to get rid of food and water sources, hiding places and keep your food covered. Do not leave unwashed utensils in the sink or food spilt on the floor.

Another method is through the use of bait such as an onion piece dipped in boric acid or a cockroach killer like the Green Leaf cockroach powder.
