Jumwa was earlier arraigned in court and remained in police custody following the ruling issued.

Senior resident magistrate Vincent Adet ruled that the two would be presented before him on Thursday due to a lack of a charge sheet when Jumwa and her bodyguard were taken to court.

Adet is set to rule on whether the embattled Jumwa will be detained further after the prosecution submitted a request to have the MP remain in police custody for three weeks as investigations were being conducted.
