Governor Mike Sonko has been ridiculed after a video of him dancing went viral.

Residents of Nairobi have been bashed over the selection of Sonko as their leader following his theatrics portrayed in the clip.

Rarieda MP Otiende Amollo on Tuesday during an interview on NTV’s AM Live show, claimed that citizens should not complain of the kind of leadership being given by the Jubilee government.

Amollo, pointed out that that residents of Nairobi should not protest over poor delivery of services in regards to having elected Governor Sonko.

The lawmaker ironically called for the people to celebrate when they see their leader behaving in such a manner.

He also noted that the increasing debt by the country was mostly to be blamed on the leadership of President Uhuru Kenyatta.

“All the people who voted for Jubilee should celebrate what they voted for.”

“When you see Sonko dancing that is what you voted for, when the public debt rises that is what you voted for.” remarked the MP.

Last Week on Friday, netizens were left puzzled after the recording of the county boss showing his moves, emerged.

In the clip, Sonko is dancing to the latest hit in town “Parte After Parte” by Ugandan musician BigTrill, in his office.

The following are the mixed reactions from netizens:

One twitter user named as Abdulabdow declared that the showing by the governor was a clear indication that the city was heading in the wrong direction.

“Our Governor, together with our city, is going off the cliff like a rocket launcher fired from Pyongyang,” stated the netizen.

Another noted that the residents had to put up with the behavior till the next election year.

“This is a punishment Nairobi county must feel till 2022.” remarked Ole James.

Adhiambo Issa exclaimed that, “Not in the face of our flag. Aende tu club.”

A netizen identified as Kagwa Ndiru angrily highlighted that he regretted why he voted for the controversial politician.

“Seriously I cast my vote for this buffon. I am cursed” expressed Ndiru.

Another video later on emerged of the politician in France partying after it was reported that he had gone for a ‘benchmarking’ exercise in order to reduce the traffic congestion in Nairobi.

Sonko is joined with other people in the foreign country in the festivities while enjoying a bottle of champagne.
