Kenyan musician cum songwriter Kelechi Africana has for the first time given his take about the hit song Chuchuma.

Days after Gospel singer Willy Paul and Wasafi’s artist Rayvanny released their own conflicted Chuchuma song version.

Speaking during an interview, Kelechi criticized the Chuchuma versions which are already out adding that the two artists did do their best.

“Ya Pozze siyo  mbaya iko poa kimpango yake, juu kila mtu anaandika ngoma kuligana na malengo yake, so far ya Pozze imeende jinsi alivyo pangia.

Adding that he did not do a lot of justice for Chuchuma.

“Lakini kuna vitu kadha imemiss lakini siyo mbaya kuna rythm imemiss hakuna mtiririko fulani imekosekana,”he said.

Speaking about Rayvanny’s version, Kelechi noted that Vanny Boy didn’t put in any extra effort in the song.

“Ya Vanny Boy iko freshy naona inachezwa sana, lakini haina utofauti iko vile yeye anaimbanga na haijachange haina ile ladha,”he criticized.

“Siku zote mtu akitoa ngoma mpya watu husema huyu amekuja na design yengine hatari sana lakini hiyo yake ni dhana tuliyo izoea”.

However, when asked to choose between the two versions, he said that Willy Paul’s version is better compared to Rayvanny’s

“Mimi taenda na Pozze amejitahidi sana obvious  huyu kijana n mbaya,”he revealed.

Ring hitmaker went ahead to reveal that his own Chuchuma version will be dropping soon adding that it  will be better than the two versions.

“Yangu nnaifayia video pia na muda siyo mrefu ntaiwachilia,”he said.

Chuchuma ownership

Chuchuma song ownership is currently under conflict after three artists claiming to be the brain behind it.

However, Kelechi still claims that he is the one who started the ‘Chuchuma’ idea. He then had Willy Paul and Rayvanny listen to the tune, only for them to start ‘fighting’ for his song.

“hii ngoma ilitoka kwenyee studio yangu ,niliweka na hivyo ndio vile ilitembea,”he revealed.

A few months ago, Willy Paul aka Poze claimed Rayvany had stolen his ideas after their failed collaboration.
